I read a short column by Willy Neuman in Ante Up magazine recently about buy-ins at the Texas hold’em table. In it, he pointed out that your buy-ins at the Texas hold’em tables areimportant, and everyone knows how important they are.
But the interesting part of the column had to do with an anecdote he shared, which I’ll paraphrase here.

- Your bluffs and semi-bluffs are more likely to succeed
- This leads to winning more pots and growing your stack even more.
He also points out that some players might notice how much you’ve bought in for, but a lot of the other players at the table are paying no attention. They’re listening to music or watching sportson television or just chatting with the other rounders.
And the players who buy into the game later don’t know what you bought in for because they weren’t there when you sat down.
